National Institution for Qualifications
This Institute, an arm of the MEC (Ministry of Education and Science), is drawing up the National Catalogue of Professional Qualifications, which lists the qualifications on the basis of the skills required to practice of a profession.
Its objective is to match training to the qualifications required by productive organizations, making training into a lifelong process, beyond the period of professional education, and thereby fulfilling an essential function in the context of the workplace and training. The catalogue is arranged into 26 professional families and includes the contents of the professional training associated with each qualification with a structure of training modules.
From within InsedNetwork we have worked together on the Qualifications for the Hospitality and Tourism Professional family. By providing this input the Association has a presence in the new framework for continuing training at a national level and has succeeded in introducing a humanistic and anthropological focus into the contents of the units of competency for the certifications.
